The structural workers have been busy: where only the first formwork walls stood during our last visit, all exterior walls on the slope side have now been completely poured with waterproof concrete.
The perimeter insulation has also been almost completely installed. We’re using rigid foam boards from Austrotherm (XPS TOP 30) – an insulation designed specifically for direct contact with soil. It has been applied to all basement exterior walls that are in contact with the ground. The remaining exterior walls, which will not be in contact with soil, will later be insulated with an external thermal insulation composite system.
In the future technical room, the waterproof pipe penetrations have also been cast in concrete. These serve as preparation for the future multi-service entry – the central access point for electricity, water, and fiber optic lines. Additionally, this is where the conduits for the heat pump as well as the outdoor and exhaust air ducts for our central ventilation system will be routed.

A lot has also happened inside: most of the interior basement walls have already been built. We’re using sand-lime bricks (KS), which we chose primarily for their high sound insulation properties.
We’re excited to see what the next few weeks will bring – soon the exposed concrete staircase will be delivered, and the precast concrete floor slabs for the basement will arrive from the factory.
